Creating mini hollywoods in our own towns
I was listening to Clownfish TV on youtube the other day and in the R.I.P to the L.A. Animation Scene video that they released on their channel; Kneon said we need more micro hollywoods spread out all the country, a decentralized animation industry and I agree with him. I want to see more animation studios in Texas and all over the country. We can't rely on the big studios anymore. We have the technology to create our own entertainment in our hands. Phones and tablets are becoming more advanced to shoot great video footage, handle demanding tasks, and create great art and drawings.
Try and find people who want to create entertainment your town and start a studio so you can grow an entertainment industry your own town. Relying on the Animation studios in L.A won't work anymore. If you can create the entertainment you enjoy on your own then go ahead and do it. You will have to put yourself out there if you want it to get seen by people.
Anime and Gaming conventions are a great place to put yourself out there and interact with people who love entertainment. Going out on your own won't be easy, but if you have the guts and willpower to succeed, you will be fine.
